Sean Beavan to mix THIS IS A SHAKEDOWN! debut CD "Love Kills"

Producer/Engineer Sean Beavan returns to his roots to mix ìLove Kills,î the debut album by dirty-synth rock band THIS IS A SHAKEDOWN!

(CLEVELAND, OH) ñ Electro-rock band THIS IS A SHAKEDOWN! have tapped producer/engineer Sean Beavan, best known for his work with Nine Inch Nails and Marilyn Manson, to mix their debut album, "Love Kills". The CD is due out on the Reversed Image Unlimited label on May 5th of this year.

Sean Beavan was working at a Cleveland Ohio recording studio in the 80s, when he met then-janitor and handyman Trent Reznor, future creative force behind Nine Inch Nails. With an ear for the dark and dirty, Beavan mixed demos for what would eventually become Reznorís seminal Pretty Hate Machine, and later engineered NINís best-selling recording The Downward Spiral. He has since produced and mixed music for shock-rocker Marilyn Manson, System of a Down, Unwritten Law, Slayer, No Doubt and Depeche Mode among others.

For heavy synth outfit THIS IS A SHAKEDOWN!, a partnership with the seasoned Beavan seems a natural alliance. Formed from the lineups of area punk and alt rock bands Leo and Dozen Dead Roses, THIS IS A SHAKEDOWN! fuse industrial and electronic sensibilities with hard-throbbing, irresistibly danceable beats and lyrics not to be played for your mother.

THIS IS A SHAKEDOWN! are currently in the studio finalizing tracks for ìLove Killsî at Ante Up Audio (anteupaudio.com) in Cleveland, Ohio. At the production helm is multi-platinum award-winning producer/engineer Michael Seifert, who is also co-founder of the bandís label Reversed Image Unlimited LLC.

"Love Kills", the full-length album from THIS IS A SHAKEDOWN!, is scheduled for release on May 5th, 2009. Tracks "You Make Me Wanna", "Love Kills" and "Oh!" can be heard on THIS IS A SHAKEDOWN!ís MySpace page (myspace.com/thisisashakedown).

Reversed Image Unlimited LLC is a non-traditional, highly innovative record label featuring indie, electronic, rock and pop artists. Keep an eye out for new releases from THIS IS A SHAKEDOWN!, Chuck Mosley (formerly of Faith No More), Adam Heart, Ghost Town Trio and more.
